Shovelware Studios LLC ("Shovelware Studios," "we," "us," or "our") provides Rig Buddy, a business-record and logistics tool for owner-operators and small carriers. Rig Buddy does not require a Shovelware Studios account and does not contain advertising or analytics.
Business records such as trips, expenses, income, maintenance, detention, per diem, fuel and IFTA information, documents, photos, and preferences are stored locally on the user's device. Shovelware Studios does not operate a server that receives these records.
When a user chooses mapping, routing, or nearby-station features, Rig Buddy may request device location and send a location or search query to third-party mapping and routing services, including OpenStreetMap-related services, Nominatim, OSRM, and Overpass. These providers may receive information such as the request, approximate or precise location supplied for that request, IP address, and standard network data under their own privacy policies. Rig Buddy may also retrieve publicly available IFTA tax information from IFTA sources.
Camera, photo, and file access is used only for features the user chooses, such as attaching a receipt or document and importing or exporting a backup. Backup and export files remain under the user's control. If a user shares a file through another app or cloud provider, that provider's privacy practices apply.
App-store purchases are processed by Google Play, Apple, or the applicable store. Shovelware Studios does not receive the user's full payment-card or banking details.
Users control their local Rig Buddy data by deleting records, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the app. Shovelware Studios does not retain a developer-hosted copy of those records. Exported files must be deleted from the location or service selected by the user.
